I’m not griping, but I’m sure gritting my teeth every time I put gas in my tank. People filling up at the same time look around and say, “What’s that noise?” and I say, “Oh, nothing, it’s only the pound of flesh the oil industry just flayed off my body. Sorry to run off on ya but I gotta get a bandaid.”

I can remember back when a dime would buy you a gallon of milk or a loaf of bread, eggs were twelve cents a dozen, gas was fifteen cents a gallon and the average daily income was eight to ten bucks and do you know what? People bellyached back then the same as they do today.

I am only a rat? I will have you know that we rats have made some wonderful contributions to civilzation.
Population control for instance, yes, just think of that. Buebonic plague really works wonders controlling the population explosion. We rats are very good at what we do so don’t be saying, “only a rat.”

Ratty, you have a way with words and I agree with you. Too darned much whimpering and whining, complaining and moaning and not enough action.
If the American people ever one time put up and shut up we wouldn’t be in the economical situation we find ourselves in. What is that saying about “several hundred million chinese”? Change that to several hundred million pissed off Americans!
Oh well, some folks would rather moan and groan.
