Charles - I love your wildlife stories - you spin quite a tale. They certainly hold my attention.

Wonderful story! It is amazing how there are so many who can't believe in God and yet, when the chips are down, realize it is worth it to hope He believes in them!
Keep up the writing...wish it could be published in a book to read again and again!
God Bless!

Chaz, I am a fireman from Aurora, Illinois. It has been several years since my family and I visited the fire museum at as well as the fire memorial at Peshtigo, Wisconsin. This was an incredible story of courage for the survivors. Thanks for the article, I could almost smell smoke.

We lost our home in a wildfire several years ago in Wisconsin. The home was a tragic loss but worse than that was all of our momentos of the past. Dad had stored a bunch of our family heirlooms, old tintypes and memorabilia from the civil war in the attic and it all went up in smoke. I learned from that fire. Things don't really mean all that much, what matters is family.

Chaz, beautifully written. I can't even began to imagine the horror of forest fire. I have seen it from a distance and I have seen it on t.v. but the picture you paint is awful and yet the account of deliverence is wonderful. Plese accept my thanks for touching my heart.
