Instinct played a part of it, an incredibly wise teacher in my father, and a loving God all worked together to save me many times during my wonderful and exciting life. Some might say luck had a hand in my survival that day but I like to believe there was something else at work. Think of it Cherylp, if I had gone through the ice that day a few steps before I did I would have been in the main channel. Swift, deep water would have carried me to my death. And then that raccoon?
